Does my AS need an LEI?

Only if a bank, broker or authority asks for one. Typically that's before trading listed securities or derivatives, which MiFIR transaction reporting and EMIR derivatives reporting require.

What happens if it lapses?

The LEI stays in the Global LEI Index but shows as Lapsed. Banks and brokers may ask for a current LEI, so renew before the date.

Can I move my existing LEI?

Yes, through a transfer. Your LEI code doesn't change.

Is LEIPHY an LEI issuer?

No. LEIPHY handles LEI orders. An accredited LEI issuer validates and issues the LEI.
